Central and Lower Bucks Family YMCAs and NovaCare Rehabilitation announce $2 million partnership


novacareR1Central and Lower Bucks Family YMCAs are proud to announce a $2 million partnership with NovaCare Rehabilitation to support the Y’s vision and investment across Bucks County. Central and Lower Bucks Family YMCAs and NovaCare share a deep commitment to improve the health and wellness of the tens of thousands of residents and families served throughout the community.

"Our significant investment in the Y demonstrates our dedication and belief in the Y’s ability to provide the best in healthy living programs, services and resources to the many communities it serves and our partnership in fulfilling this vision," said Dan Bradley, President of NovaCare Rehabilitation & Select Medical’s Outpatient Division.

The partnership represents a strong joint commitment of the organizations to the community and one another, building on an already strong foundation.

Early examples of the partnership in action include workshops and classes at the Y that are free to the community and include programs on lifelong exercise, balance and more. In addition, NovaCare recently presented, “The Importance of Exercise and Strength Training” to participants in the Y Living Active program, a free program open to community members aged 60 years and older.

NovaCare supports the health and wellness of athletes of all ages and is sponsoring Central and Lower Bucks Family YMCAs’ youth and adult sports leagues, including basketball, track and volleyball.

We look forward to working together as proactive partners in caring for the health of our members and the greater Bucks County community,” said Central and Lower Bucks Family YMCAs President/CEO Zane Moore.

As the partnership between NovaCare and Central and Lower Bucks Family YMCAs grows, the organizations will continue to work together to explore new ways to work hand in hand to support the health and wellness needs of the Bucks County community with plans including collaborative programming, facility development, professional development of staff and education of the community.
