YMCA of Bucks County announces fundraising challenge at Quakertown branch

12.12.2019

zanenickRThe Board of Directors and Trustees for the Quakertown branch of YMCA of Bucks County announced recently that they will match donations, up to $75,000 made between now and the end of December 2019.

Thanks to the generosity of members and the community, fundraising efforts have already reached a mid-way point of $37,500.  Funds will support families in need through the Y’s financial assistance program, that does not turn anyone away based on an inability to pay, as well as fund critical, free community outreach programs to benefit special populations in Bucks County like seniors, teens, veterans, cancer survivors, 7th graders, and those seeking a healthy lifestyle.

"We are extremely grateful to all of our donors, especially our Y's Trustees who have inspired us with their generosity and vision,” said Debbie Sontupe, chief development officer. “Dollars raised will significantly advance the Y's capacity to serve the families and communities in the Upper Bucks region and 100% of all donations support this cause. We are asking for the community’s help,” she added.

Community organizations and individuals are asked to give online at ymcabucks.org/give or in-person at the YMCA of Bucks County, located at 401 Fairview Avenue, Quakertown, PA  18951.
