Pathway Programs launch in Spring at YMCA of Bucks County


YMCA of Bucks County is proud to announce the spring launch of their Pathway Programs which aim to help members of the community with their health and wellbeing in a supportive environment. Most Pathway Programs will launch new groups on April 5 and registration is now open. 

The Y is committed to serving the community in meaningful ways and beyond their regular programs and services. Programs are provided free through the generous support of donors. The Y offers a variety of programs throughout the year, including:

7th grade Membership - Providing all 7th Graders in Bucks County a teen membership, fostering youth development and healthy living. This school year, the program is extended to include 8th graders because of the mandatory closures during the 2020-2021 school year. Youth must join by May 31 for the 2020-2021 school year.

Back to You - A 12-week health and wellness membership experience, designed for those who are active in recovery from substance abuse disorders. Participation in the program includes a twelve week family membership. New program begins April 5, Sept 13

Empower U - A 12-week wellness program for teen girls in grades 7-10, designed to strengthen self-esteem, positive relationships and overall health and includes a three month teen membership. Participation in the program includes a  twelve week, youth/teen membership to the Y.  New program begins April 6, Sept 28

Safety Around Water - The Y's Safety Around Water program provides life-saving water safety lessons for children ages 3-5 years. Participation in the program includes an eight week, youth membership to practice skills. New program begin April 5 and via summer camp

THRIVE Cancer Wellness - A 12-week group personal training program designed for people who have become deconditioned or chronically fatigued from battling cancer. Participation in the program includes a twelve week membership. New program begins April 5, Sept 13

Veterans Wellness - A 12-week program designed to reset healthy lifestyle habits with the support of Y staff and camaraderie of fellow Veterans. Participation in the program includes a twelve week family membership with an additional six month, adult membership after successful completion of the program.  New program begins April 5, Sept 13

Healthy Lifestyles -  A 16-week program, open to all adults focused on behavior change, movement, weight loss and lifestyle modification. Participation in the program includes a sixteen week, family membership.  New programs begin April 5, August 20

Blood Pressure Screening - A 16-week program, in which a healthy heart ambassador educates participants in how to achieve and manage a reduction in blood pressure. Participation in the program includes a sixteen week membership. Programs beginning April 5, August 20

Pathway Programs are free and open to all members of the community who qualify based on pathway parameters. To find out more or register for a program, individuals are asked to fill out an interest form found on the Y’s website at ymcabucks.org/pathways
