3/13 Child Care Centers - Update

Dear YMCA of Bucks County Child Care and School Age Child Care Families:
As of today, Thursday March 12, 2020:
We have received information that the following school districts are closed for tomorrow, Friday 3/13/2020: Central Bucks, Council Rock, Morrisville, New Hope-Solebury and Pennsbury. Bristol Township, Palisades and Quakertown remain open. However, we understand this may change hour to hour. Please continue to stay close to your email for communication from your director, as well as our website for changes. As your child care provider, please note the following:
In the event of any school district closure; if the decision to close rests solely with the school district (and not due to state/local authority recommendations), YMCA of Bucks County Child Care Youth Education Centers (serving infants through preschool) will remain open. If this changes, we will alert our families immediately, as well as on our website.
As our School Age Child Care program, serving elementary school children, are hosted at the school sites themselves, if the school district closes, the School Age Child Care program affiliated with the school district will be cancelled.
For Friday, 3/13/2020: Morrisville School Age Child Care program is cancelled due to school district closure. Pennsbury School District was a planned closure due to parent/teacher conferences; therefore Pennsbury School District children will continue to have their previously planned vacation day program out of our Fairless Hills branch; 6:30AM-6:00PM.
The Pennsbury Pre-K Counts program, hosted out of our Morrisville Youth Education Center, is cancelled for tomorrow in alignment with the school district. The United Way Pre-K Counts program, as it is not affiliated with a school district, will be hosted as scheduled at our Morrisville Youth Education Center.
Families - we remain HERE FOR YOU. Although not confirmed, we are currently preparing for school districts to potentially close for an unknown period of time. To support our working families, if state/local authorities permit us to do so, we will attempt to offer a care plan for elementary school children. Please stay tuned for more information. Thank you!
Bucks County Strong,
Trish Feinthel
