Metro Esports and the YMCA have partnered to offer the Metro Madness Gaming Summer Camp! During this competitive, yet casual, gaming experience, kids will learn skills to develop healthy gaming habits while promoting a safe, social environment. Campers can expect daily structured activities to provide them unique, social gaming experiences they couldn’t find anywhere else. This camp melds educational learning with guided play to enrich your child’s ability to communicate, socialize, learn, and understand the various occupational outlets that gaming, esports, and STEM have to offer through daily guided instruction.
Each Friday of this summer camp experience features a dynamic focus session targeted at providing the foundational tools for the core pillars of the esports industry. Whether it’s content creation, healthy physical and mental gaming habits, building a PC, and so much more, kids can expect to engage in both instructed and hands-on activities supervised and coached by industry professionals. Each day, campers can expect a brief educational gaming or instructional lesson based on that week’s theme. On Friday, each camper gets the opportunity to apply this theme hands on. For our STEM themed camps, a STEM accredited professor will be on-site to provide a live STEM/Coding demonstration on the final day of the camp.
Kids can expect to play their favorite games, or explore new ones, as they race to earn points and develop their physical and mental gaming skills. No matter if you’re a fan of Rocket League or Super Smash Bros, everyone can compete in their favorite titles and earn points at the same rate as others.
This summer, everyone is on an equal playing field at the YMCA’s Metro Gaming Lounge.

About Age Range
At the Metro Madness Summer Camp, kids will compete against one another towards accumulating points across some of the world's most popular gaming titles. The best thing about this camp is kids can earn points at a similar rate no matter their age or skill level. Whether you're young and inexperienced, or older and a seasoned gamer, kids can play the titles they’re most comfortable with and earn points all at the same rate.
Our summer camp experience features: Fortnite, Mario Kart, Fall Guys, Overwatch, Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Brawlhalla, NBA2K22, Madden 22, Rocket League, Plants vs Zombies
Accessibly to all
It’s important that this camp is available to everyone. Metro Esports provides accessibility products, such as the Logitech Adaptive Gaming Kit, and trains staff in recognizing and altering the many in-game accessibility settings to ensure each kid is having an equally enjoyable gaming experience. Gaming is best when it’s done together.
