For a Better Us:
Fairless Hills Branch renovation
YMCA of Bucks County, Fairless Hills branch
The Fairless Hills branch of YMCA of Bucks County has a long history, celebrating over 80 years of strengthening our community through membership and programs that foster youth development, healthy living and social responsibility for all.
Now boasting over 6,200+ members, the branch is poised for a much-needed expansion and refurbishment. We remain committed to the future expansion of our facility to meet the needs of community families, seniors and individuals of all ages and abilities, as well as those fighting chronic illness. We invite you to join us and need your support in meeting the needs of everyone in our community as we embark on this renovation together.
About Renovation and Expanded Fitness Center w/ NovaCare
Renovations call for reconfiguring the space within the building to gain additional usable square footage, while at the same time decreasing our building footprint to create additional and much-needed parking. Gymnasium, walking track and pools will be painted and refreshed with an observation area added to the aquatics center. The entire interior and exterior of the branch will undergo a face lift in the renovation to include sleek, modern features on the exterior and interior spaces. The building will be completely ADA accessible. Renovation plans include brand new adult male and female locker rooms, complete with all-new fixtures for showers and bathrooms, as well as private changing stations and lockers. Both spaces will be ADA compliant and accessible. Our current male/female family locker rooms will be renovated to become one, universal locker room; providing 14 individual changing stalls.
Current plans expansion of the fitness center to provide additional cardio equipment and free weight space. All of this additional space will accommodate much needed open spaces for fitness in response to the pandemic as well as dedicated stretching and training areas. In addition, we will have dedicated space for the Y’s new partnership with NovaCare Rehabilitation.
