Warminster branch

Our Warminster branch is conveniently located in the heart of Warminster. The branch offers a state-of-the-art fitness center with over 100+ pieces of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, weight equipment and more and also offered weight space. Two  group exercise studios and a dedicated spin & TRX room provide great space for our wide variety of programs and services. New aquatics center with pool, aquatic locker rooms and spacious viewing area now available. Stay & Play babysitting is provided free with some membership types.

Group exercise classes are offered, free with membership. Member rates on personal training is also available.

About our new pool in Warminster

Pool Details:  Approximately 30 yards long, 2' to 4'9"  deep (no diving) kept at above 85° F

Available activities:

  • Recreational Lane Usage: walking/jogging, swimming
  • Recreational swim
  • Swim Lessons for all ages including parent/child, preschool and school age children and private lessons
  • Lap swim: 3 lanes
  • Aquatic group exercise classes

PROGRAM REGISTRATION

Programs are ongoing and billed monthly
New participants begin November 1

Member: October 20 (online, phone or in-person)
Non-member: October 25 (online, phone or in-person)
Online Registration Ends: November 8 (phone and in-person continues through session)

Participants requesting a specific date/time for class are encouraged to register for waitlist even if the class is full, as new classes are added from these.  Contact the program director for assistance in registering for these classes.

Swim Lessons - School Age
1 / Water Acclimation (6-12 yrs)
Students become comfortable with underwater exploration and learn how to safely get out of the water if they fall in. Move to Stage 2 when you are willing to go under water voluntarily, you can front and back float, and glide with assistance. Ratio 1:5 | **Swim lessons are designed as a progressive set of skills taught and evaluated for advancement every 8 weeks. For the best possible learning experience, we encourage participants to commit to a minimum of 8 weeks of lessons.**

2 / Water Movement (6-12 yrs)
Students focus on body position and control, directional change, and forward movement in the water , while continuing to practice how to safely get out of the water if they fall in. Move to Stage 3 when you can do a front and back float on your own, front and back glide for 10'. | **Swim lessons are designed as a progressive set of skills taught and evaluated for advancement every 8 weeks. For the best possible learning experience, we encourage participants to commit to a minimum of 8 weeks of lessons.**

Students learn to swim longer distances. They learn how to do rhythmic breathing and integrate movements of their arms and legs. Move to Stage 4 when you can swim 15 yards on your front and back and swim-float-swim 25 yards. 1:6 ratio. | **Swim lessons are designed as a progressive set of skills taught and evaluated for advancement every 8 weeks. For the best possible learning experience, we encourage participants to commit to a minimum of 8 weeks of lessons.**

4 / Stroke Introduction (6-12 yrs)
Students develop stroke technique in front crawl and back crawl and learn the breaststroke kick and butterfly kick. Water safety is reinforced through treading water and elementary backstroke. Move to Stage 5 when you can swim 15 yards doing the elementary backstroke, front and back crawl with roatary breathing, swim-float-swim 25 yards and 15 yards of breaststroke and butterfly kicks. | **Swim lessons are designed as a progressive set of skills taught and evaluated for advancement every 8 weeks. For the best possible learning experience, we encourage participants to commit to a minimum of 8 weeks of lessons.**

Students work on stroke technique and learn all major competitive strokes while continuing to develop endurance. Stage A introduces infants and toddlers to the aquatic environment and encourages them to enjoy themselves while learning about the water with a parent/caretaker whom they trust. 1:12 ratio. | **Swim lessons are designed as a progressive set of skills taught and evaluated for advancement every 8 weeks. Parents work with their toddlers to learn fundamental safety and pre-swimming skills like floating, blowing bubbles, paddle stroke and kicking. Skills are taught in the context of repetitive songs, fun activities and drills which reinforce physical learning and encourage positive interaction between parent and child. 1:10 ratio. | **Swim lessons are designed as a progressive set of skills taught and evaluated for advancement every 8 weeks. For the best possible learning experience, we encourage participants to commit to a minimum of 8 weeks of lessons.**

Kids learn safe water habits, underwater exploration, how to swim to safety and exit the water. Lessons are a mix of activities, games and drills. Preschoolers develop comfort with underwater exploration and learn to safely exit in the event of falling into a body of water. This class is for kids who aren?t yet comfortable working with an instructor without a parent in the water. 1:8 ratio. | **Swim lessons are designed as a progressive set of skills taught and evaluated for advancement every 8 weeks.
