Martial Arts Programs for all ages
Martial Arts Programs at YMCA of Bucks County utilize a progressive approach for all ages. Private Martial Arts lessons, Aikido, family karate and a selection of karate classes for all ages are available. Trial Classes the first class of each session, pre-registration is requested since limited space is available.
Programs in Doylestown
Karate programs held in our Doylestown branch are taught by Bucks County Karate school, headed by Sensei Stacy Pursell Jr. As members of the AJKA-I, Bucks County Karate School teaches traditional JKA Shotokan Karate. As members of the AJKA-I, Bucks County Karate School teaches traditional JKA Shotokan Karate. We offer classes for adults and children ages 4 and up. Parents and their children ages 7 and up have the opportunity to experience their karate journey together as they take class together. Our Dragon Warriorz classes for ages 4 -7 are based on Traditional JKA Shotokan Karate techniques, but are presented as developmentally appropriate tasks that will build the child’s self esteem.
Programs in Fairless Hills
Taught by Gary Campbell, an 8th degree black belt with over 40 years of Karate experience. Teaches Karate-ancient art of self-defense, emphasizing discipline and self-confidence.
PROGRAMS IN QUAKERTOWN

Y Tae Kwon Do School at our Quakertown branch is designed to teach the enjoyable and non-violent martial arts system of physical and mental discipline. The program is challenging and fun with safety for all participants as the utmost priority. The atmosphere is one of fun and friendly competition. Focus is on developing skills and physical control, not on inflicting injury. Students are separated by ages, available for youth, teens and adults.
