Teen Health and Wellness

Teens are able to participate in most adult fitness classes offered at the Y. In addition, special classes are offered just for them. Teen boxing, dodgeball, basketball and other great classes are available just to kids age 13-17. Check brochure for seasonal listings.

Teen Fitness Orientation

Required for teens 14 and under who wish to utilize the fitness center. Classes introduce the fundamentals of fitness and exercise with supervised instructions on strength and cardio equipment. Successful completion includes attendance at all classes.

Teen/PreTeen Programming
Babysitter Training (11 to 14 yrs)
Learn essential babysitting skills. Curriculum includes babysitting as a business, behavior management and first aid skills. Certification through Safe-Sitter.
Get Up & Glow Party (7-9 Grade)
Teen social event. Activities include Glow Party with DJ, inflatable bounce house and other interactive activities. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event. Located in Gym A/B.
PreTeen Nights (Grades 4 to 6)
Teen Center, Swimming, Gymnasium. Parents must sign participants in & out.
Teen Basketball League (Grades 7 -11)
Teen Dodgeball (7-9 Grade)
Teen Dodgeball Tournament (7-9 Grade)

Teen Strength & Fitness Orientation (12-14 yrs)
Newly revamped curriculum that includes a thorough two hour class focusing on safety, healthy exercise, smart goal setting and equipment instruction. Taught by trained coaches, teen will learn the basics of exercise and strength workouts as will as safety rules while working out in our Fitness Center
