Volunteering

As a Y volunteer, your time and talent go a long way. You can serve as a role model for young people, become a sports coach, help with a special event, campaign for annual support, or be a part of a committee working to make the YMCA the best it can be. No matter how you help, you’ll make a big difference as you work with others to create a feeling of connectedness in your community.

Select which YMCA of Bucks County branch are you most interested in volunteering?

A staff member at the Y will email you instructions for completing Pennsylvania State and Federal required trainings and clearances.  Clearances and training are required for volunteers who assist with YMCA programs and operations.

If you are only interested in YMCA of Bucks County one-day special events, such as our Color Obstacle Run, Bucks County 5K, or Kids Triathlon, clearances and trainings are not required.

Clearance and training certificates must be submitted to YMCA of Bucks County prior to your volunteer start date. Copies of clearances completed within the last five years will be accepted, upon review, by the YMCA of Bucks County. Some clearance submissions take up to three weeks for results. FBI fingerprinting is required for applicants who have not lived in Pennsylvania for the last ten consecutive years.
