SACC: School-Age Child Care

The Y provides school-age child care after school and during school holidays for local families in neighboring schools.


Programs in New Hope-Solebury

Lower Elementary School

Before School Program

  • For students in kindergarten– 5th grade (children in grades 3-5 are bussed to the Upper Elementary School at 8:30am)
  • Located in the cafeteria in the New Hope–Solebury Lower Elementary School
  • Hours are 7:30AM until students are be released to their classrooms (and older children to the bus)

Activities include:

  • Drawing/Art
  • Table Games
  • Puzzles
  • Reading
  • Card Games
  • Crafts

After School Program

  • For students in Kindergarten–2nd grade
  • Located in the cafeteria in the New Hope – Solebury Lower Elementary School
  • Hours are  3:15PM and ends at 6PM (late pickup fees will apply)
  • Open for selected Half & Full Day School Closings: See yearly calendar. Field trips scheduled on Full Days Off.

Activities include:

  • Supervised Homework Club
  • Beading, Lego /Building Activities
  • Pen Pal Club
  • Art Club, Sewing
  • Drama
  • Sports Games
  • Group Recreational Activities

Upper Elementary School

Before School Program

  • For students in 3rd-5th grade
  • Located in the cafeteria in the New Hope–Solebury Lower Elementary School (students are bussed to the Upper Elementary School at 8:30am)
  • Hours are 7:30AM until students are be released to their classrooms

Activities include:

  • Drawing/Art
  • Table Games
  • Puzzles
  • Reading
  • Card Games
  • Crafts

After School Program

  • For students in 3rd-7th grades
  • Located in the cafeteria in the New Hope – Solebury Upper Elementary School
  • Hours are  3:15PM (2:15PM for middle schoolers) and ends at 6PM (late pickup fees will apply)
  • Open for selected Half & Full Day School Closings: See yearly calendar. Full Day Off for grades 3-7 located at the Lower Elementary School. Field trips are scheduled on Full Days.

  • Supervised Homework Club
  • Beading, Lego /Building Activities
  • Pen Pal Club
  • Art Club
  • Sewing
  • Drama
  • Sports Games
  • Group Recreational Activities
  • Mentoring
  • Partnership games/activities.

How to enroll your child

1) Schedule a tour (available by appointment Monday through Friday after 3:15pm)

2) Fill out the appropriate forms on the Upper Elementary/Middle School Program forms page by clicking here.

3) Submit all forms no later than August 30. Registration forms received after August 15th may require delayed start date.

The EDP has revolving enrollment throughout the school year. Must re-register each new year.
