We are seeking an engaging and responsible Adapted Private Swim Lesson Instructor to join the Ability Department at our Doylestown branch. If you love swimming, and have experience with children of disabilities, this may be the perfect position for you! The Swim Lesson Instructor is responsible for leading program instruction for members and participants with disabilities. The Adapted Private Swim Instructor must actively engage participants in appropriate adapted aquatics programming. The Instructor will need to adapt the YMCA swim curriculum to meet the needs of children/teens with disabilities, and provide behavioral support for safety in and around the pool. The Instructor must provide feedback to students and their parents/guardians on individual performance.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old; at least 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities
- 1-2 years experience teaching swim lessons
- Ability to perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)
Days/Hours Needed: Wednesday's & Thursdays 4-7 PM; Saturday's 9 am - 1 pm
Pay Rate: $15-16/hour
