Fairless Hills Swim Team Open House

The Swim Team program at our Fairless Hills branch returns Fall, 2022!

Swim team at our Fairless Hills branch will include competitive groups for youth ages 6-18 years old. The competitive team is a YMCA and USA Swimming sanctioned team and competes at dual meets within our YMCA division as well as USA Swimming Mid-Atlantic Division meets held regionally. Swim team season runs September through July.

An Intramural Swim Academy for those who want to practice but not compete is also offered for ages 6-12 years.

Families and swimmers interested in finding out more about the program are invited to an open house to meet the coaching staff and tour the facility.

Swim evaluations are required to join the team and are scheduled as follows:

August 16, 7:30 PM (Fairless Hills branch)
August 24, 7:30 PM (Fairless Hills branch)

August 22, 4:30 PM (Quakertown branch)
August 24, 7:00 PM (Quakertown branch)
August 25 at 7:00 PM (Quakertown branch)

Swimmers may try out for the Barracudas at any one of these locations and times. To register for an evaluation please email Tim Ryan at tryan@ymcabhc.org.

The Lower Bucks swim team will be led by coach Mike Chorba. Chorba swam for Rider University, is a Physical Education Teacher in Princeton, NJ public schools, and has extensive coaching experience with various teams in the area. Most recently, Chorba served on the Central Bucks Dolphins coaching team in Doylestown for the 2021-2022 season.
