Swim Team

Welcome to swim team through the Y.  Our mission is to develop good swimmers and great kids. Competitive swimming teaches skills for a lifetime. Our swimmers achieve success at all levels of competition. We provide a foundation for our athletes to excel based on their talent, skills and level of commitment. It is our goal to develop a lifelong love of the sport for all swim team members.

COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM

6-21 yrs | Our Dolphins Swim Team is a YMCA and USA Swimming sanctioned team with a mission to develop good swimmers and great kids. Our swimmers achieve success at all levels of competition. We provide the foundation for our athletes to excel based on their talent, skills and level of commitment. Swimmers also have the option to swim at the USA Swimming level in the Mid-Atlantic Division with meets held regionally. Optional USA Swimming registration is a $75/year fee. Dolphins on Team Unify

INTRAMURAL SWIM TEAM (Dolphins Club)

6-12 yrs | Do you like to swim? Do you want to practice, get in great shape, make new friends and hone your swimming skills, but aren’t sure that you want to swim in competitions? If you are thinking about joining the Competitive Team or if you just love swimming and making friends, then the Intramural Team is the perfect place for you! Coaches will train swimmers to have more endurance and be more efficient with the four swim strokes, starts and turns. $25 registration fee includes team cap,
shirt and Y-USA registration

Offering the benefits of both YMCA National Swimming and USA Swimming, our swimmers achieve success at all levels of competition. Age 6-21 | Our highly successful swim team involves all ability levels and competes in the PennDel Swim league.The Barracudas are an age-level team split into groups based on age. Registration is not available online. Contact our aquatics office at 215.536.9622.
 
Mini Barracudas (5-9 yrs)
An introduction to competitive swimming with an emphasis on instruction and developmental drills to teach the four competitive strokes. Participants must be able to swim one full length of the pool with the beginning concept of rotary breathing and be able to stay afloat on their back while moving the arms.
